ANKARA (AA) - Borsa Istanbul rebounded marginally on Thursday morning after declining Wednesday on the back of positive U.S. employment data that bolstered anticipation for a rate hike.
The BIST-100 started the day at 0.31 percent or 232.3 points higher at 76,199.93 points.
On Wednesday’s close, the Borsa Istanbul went down 0.2 percent to 75,967.63 points, though it had risen to 76,517.81 before the ADP payroll firm employment data was announced, seen as a precursor to non-farm payroll data.
The U.S. dollar /Turkish lira rate was relatively flat in the early morning trade at 2.9558.
Markets are expected to move in line with the Purchasing Managers Index announcements from both economies and statements from U.S. Federal Reserve members.
