ANKARA (AA) - Turkish economy minister expressed hope Thursday over a Chinese free trade zone in Turkey.
Nihat Zeybekci said the trade zone would include production and logistic facilities. He did not specify any timeframe for the establishment of the trade zone.
He said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was set to pay a formal visit in China later in May, adding that the visit would further strengthen trade ties between the two nations.
Zeybekci said visa procedures China applied on Turkish businesspeople were detrimental to the business relations.
"Most of the Turkish importers go there to buy goods," he said.
