WASHINGTON (AA) - Turkish parliament speaker Numan Kurtulmus is set to visit the US on July 6-10 to participate in a NATO parliamentary summit.

The US delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly will host a parliamentary summit, bringing together parliamentary leaders from the 32 NATO members as well as Ukraine, including 23 speakers of parliament.

As the military alliance commemorates its 75th anniversary, the meeting will showcase the importance of its parliamentary dimension and highlight allied parliaments’ views on key priorities.

In his speech, Kurtulmus is expected to address regional and global issues, especially the Ukraine war.

He will attend a reception to be hosted by US House Speaker Mike Johnson, and hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit.

Kurtulmus will also participate in meetings hosted by the Turkish-American National Steering Committee (TASC), and Foundation for Political, Economic and Social Research (SETA).

The US will also host the July 9-11 NATO summit in Washington.
