ANKARA (AA) – The Turkish parliament will host a two-day meeting of the Executive Council of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) on Nov. 27-28.
Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus will deliver the opening speech of the meeting, which will be held in the Mediterranean resort city of Antalya, as the APA term president.
The draft decisions previously discussed by the four standing committees will be discussed during the meeting.
It is also expected that the next APA term president will be chosen during the meeting.
Kurtulmus is expected to hold bilateral talks on the sidelines of the meeting.
The APA consists of 43 member parliaments, including Türkiye and Palestine, and 15 international organizations as observer members.
The Turkish parliament has held the APA chairmanship since it hosted the 10th APA General Assembly in November 2017.
