WASHINGTON (AA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in the United Arab Emirates early Tuesday as part of a two-day visit to attend a summit.
Erdogan will address the World Governments Summit being held from Feb. 12-14 in Dubai under the theme “Shaping Future Governments” which will bring together state and government officials and representatives of international organizations, the private sector, academia, civil society, think tanks, the media and businesspeople from various countries.
On the sidelines of the summit, he will meet with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his counterparts from the participating countries.
On Wednesday, Erdogan will pay a one-day visit to Egypt’s capital Cairo in response to an invitation from his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
The leaders will discuss steps that can be taken to improve bilateral relations and revitalize high-level bilateral cooperation mechanisms.
Current global and regional issues, particularly Israel’s attacks on Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, will also be on the agenda.
