NEW YORK (AA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended a reception in New York City on Tuesday hosted by US President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden for the heads of delegations to the 78th session of the UN General Assembly and their spouses.
President Erdogan, accompanied by First Lady Emine Erdogan, stayed for about an hour at the event, which was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
World leaders have gathered in New York for the annual General Assembly at the UN to deliver their remarks.
On the first day of the session, leaders including Biden and Erdogan addressed the General Assembly.
President Erdogan is set to depart from New York on Wednesday.
The session runs through Sept. 26.
