Turkish President Erdogan meets European Commission chief

2 leaders are expected to hold joint news conference

ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday met with European Commission’s President Ursula von der Leyen in the Turkish capital Ankara.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, the president’s chief advisor Akif Cagatay Kilic and Communications Director Fahrettin Altun were also present at the meeting held at the presidential complex.

The two leaders are expected to hold a joint news conference.
