ANKARA (AA) – The Turkish president and Pakistan's prime minister exchanged greetings for the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha on Saturday.
In a phone call, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Shehbaz Sharif also discussed bilateral and regional issues, the Pakistani premier's office said in a statement.
Erdogan offered prayers for the victims of the devastating floods in Balochistan, while Sharif expressed Pakistan's firm resolve to further enhance its bilateral cooperation with Türkiye, recalling his recent visit to Ankara, the statement noted.
"The Prime Minister conveyed that he was looking forward to welcoming President Erdogan for the 7th Session of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC) in Pakistan in September 2022," it added.
