ANKARA (AA) – Turkey’s defense chief met his Qatari counterpart in Brussels on Friday on the sidelines of the NATO defense ministers meeting.
In a statement, Turkish Defense Ministry said that Hulusi Akar and Khalid Bin Mohammed al-Attiyah, who also serves as the deputy prime minister of Qatar, discussed relations between the two countries and exchanged views on regional security and cooperation in the defense industry.
Turkey's Akar also met Afghan Defense Minister Asadullah Khalid on Friday and the two discussed the latest developments in Afghanistan and countries' cooperation in fields of defense and security.
Friday wrapped up the two-day NATO defense ministers meeting.
