ANKARA (AA) – Turkey’s benchmark index lost 125.58 points to open at 74,067.49 on Friday morning.
The BIST 100 index decreased by 0.17 percent, while the banking and holding sector indexes declined 0.33 and 0.15 percent respectively.
On the last trading day of the week, the information technology index rose the most, by 0.52 percent in the opening session. The investment trusts index saw the largest drop with a 0.39 percent fall.
The Turkish lira was lower against the U.S. dollar to trade at 3.4590 early Friday, compared to Thursday's closing rate of 3.4210.
