ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 7,821.97 points, up slightly by 0.11%, or 8.57 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed Thursday at 7,813.40 points, surging by 3.77%, with a daily trading volume of 85 billion liras ($2.93 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 29.0220 as of 10.05 a.m. local time (0705GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 31.9480, while a British pound traded for 36.0610 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $76.90 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $2,050.85.
