ISTANBUL (AA) - The Turkish benchmark stock index ended the week at a record closing level of 11,064.85 points on Friday, up 0.37% from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index started the day at 11,035.13 points, earning 40.51 points from Thursday's close.
The lowest value of the index for the day was 10,995.10, while its daily high was 11.113,55 - a historical high level.
Some 50 indices rose in value by the end of the day, while 47 declined.
The total transaction volume reached 101 billion Turkish liras ($3.06 billion), while the overall value of the index was 9.39 trillion liras ($285.9 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 33.0650 as of 6.20 p.m. local time (1520GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 36.0510, and the GBP/TRY traded at 42.9240.
The price of an ounce of gold was $2,412.50, while a barrel price of Brent oil was around $85.20.
