Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 8,371.33 points, up by 0.40%, or 33.66 points, from the previous close.
On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index ended at a record high of 8,337.67 points, rising 1.91%, with a daily trading volume of 76.4 billion liras ($2.8 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 26.8520 as of 09.52 a.m. local time (0652GMT) on Friday, and the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 28.7758, while a British pound traded for 33.5331 liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $89.61 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,949.25.
