ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 3,709.05 points on Tuesday, up 1.64%, or 59.84 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 3.63% to end Monday at a record high close of 3,649.21 points, with a daily trading volume of 117.5 billion Turkish liras ($6.4 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 18.2370 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT), from 18.2210 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate increased to 18.5063 from 18.4560, while a British pound traded for 21.3840 Turkish liras, up from 21.3780.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $93.98 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was at $1,733.67.
