Turkish Stock Exchange Rebounds to over 10,000 points at Friday open

BIST 100 index gains over 58 points in opening session

Turkey's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, opened Friday at 10,041.43 points, marking a rise of 0.59%, or 58.45 points, from the previous close.

On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index climbed 1.55% to close at 9,982.98 points, with a daily transaction volume of 84 billion Turkish liras ($2.50 billion).

As of 9:58 a.m. (0658 GMT), the exchange rate for the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) stood at 33.7010, the euro/Turkish lira (EUR/TRY) rate was 37.0082, and the British pound/Turkish lira (GBP/TRY) rate was 43.3905.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,492.30, while the price of Brent crude oil was around $80.75 per barrel.
