ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock exchange ended Wednesday at 5,561.18 points, soaring 3.2% from the previous close.
Starting the third transaction day of the week at 5,515.87 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 172.38 points compared to the midweek's close.
The index's lowest value during Wednesday was 5,561.18, while its daily high was 5,515.87.
The total market value of BIST 100 was around 4.64 trillion Turkish liras ($201.6 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 116.6 billion Turkish liras ($5.05 billion).
During the day, 85 stocks on the index rose and 15 fell compared to the previous close.
The price of an ounce of gold was $1,966.55, while Brent crude oil sold for around $77.45 per barrel as of 6.50 p.m. local time (1550GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 23.1900, the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 24.9780, while the British pound traded at 28.8870 Turkish liras.
