ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Wednesday at 5,001.06 points, up 1.92% from the previous close.
Starting the midweek at 4,931.72 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 94.43 points compared to the previous close of 4,906.63.
The index's lowest value during the third transaction day was 4,890.44, while its daily high was 5,001.06.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 4.06 trillion Turkish liras ($213.8 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 53.4 billion Turkish liras ($2.8 billion).
During the day, 81 stocks on the index rose and 16 fell compared to the previous close.
The price of an ounce of gold was $1,952.85, while Brent crude oil sold for around $75.98 per barrel as of 6.10 p.m. local time (1510GMT).
