ISTANBUL (AA) - The Turkish benchmark stock index closed Tuesday at 10,677.49 points, up 0.19% from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index started the day at 10,678.75 points, earning 20.5 points from Monday's close.
The lowest value of the index for the day was 10,589.67, while its daily high was 10,721.22.
Some 45 indices increased in value by the end of the day, while 53 declined.
The total transaction volume reached 95 billion Turkish liras ($2.96 billion), while the overall value of the index was 9.13 trillion liras ($284.1 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 32.1940 as of 18.15 p.m. local time (1515GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.0280, while the GBP/TRY traded at 41.1290.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,356.16, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $83.60.
