ISTANBUL (AA) - The Turkish benchmark stock index opened Friday at 10,322.45 points, up by 0.42% or 42.76 points from the previous close.
On Thursday, the BIST 100 index dropped by 0.69% to 10,279.69 points with a daily transaction volume of 84 billion liras ($2.6 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 32.2490 as of 10.08 a.m. (0708GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.2180, while the GBP/TRY rate was 41.3070.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,376.90, and the barrel price of Brent oil was around $79.70.
