ISTANBUL (AA) - The Turkish benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 9,393.46 points, gaining 0.52% or 48.48 points versus the previous close.
On Tuesday, the BIST 100 index closed increasing by 1.62% to 9,344.97 points, with a daily transaction volume of 132 billion Turkish liras ($4.29 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 30.9595 as of 10.25 (GMT0725), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 33.5050, while the GBP/TRY rate was 39.1020.
One ounce of gold was for $2,041.05, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $82.60.
