ISTANBUL (AA) - The Turkish benchmark stock index opened the midweek at 10,930.39 points, up 0.32% or 35.13 points over the previous close.
At Tuesday's close, the BIST 100 index rose by 1.45% to a historical high close of 10,895.25 points, with a daily transaction volume of 215 billion liras ($6.69 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 32.1970 as of 10.25 a.m. local time (0725GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 34.9710, while the GBP/TRY rate was 41.0125.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,413.60, and the barrel price of Brent oil was around $81.60.
