ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Friday at 10,160.52 points, marking an increase of 0.61% or 61.52 points from the previous close.
On Thursday, the BIST 100 index increased by 0.74% to 10,098.50 points, with a daily transaction volume of 83 billion Turkish liras ($2.49 billion).
As of 10.35 a.m. (0735GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 33.5835, the EUR/TRY rate stood at 36.7280, while the GBP/TRY rate was 42.8745.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,327.40, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $78.75 per barrel.
