Turkish stock exchange up at open

BIST 100 index up by 13.6 points at opening session

ADANA, Türkiye (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Thursday at 9,026.49 points, up 0.15% or 13.62 points from the previous close.

On Wednesday, the BIST 100 index was down by 3.62% to 9,012.87 points, with a daily transaction volume of 83 billion Turkish liras ($2.44 billion).

As of 10.30 a.m. (0730GMT), the exchange rates stood at 34.2070 for the US dollar against the Turkish lira, 37.7190 for the euro, and 45.0205 for the British pound.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,648.35, and the Brent crude oil traded at $74.75 per barrel.
