BIST 100 index posts slight gain after Monday’s loss

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Tuesday at 8,709.81 points, marking an increase of 0.12% or 10.62 points from the previous close.

On Monday, The BIST 100 index fell 1.99%, closing at 8,699.19 points with a daily transaction volume of 67 billion Turkish liras ($1.97 billion).

As of 11.10 am (0810GMT), the exchange rates were recorded at 34.2660 Turkish lira per US dollar, 37.3950 per euro, and 44.8025 per British pound.

Meanwhile, the price of an ounce of gold stood at $2,653.40, while Brent crude oil was trading at $74.05 per barrel.
