BIST 100 index posts gain after Monday’s loss of 2.49%

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Tuesday at 8,714.65 points, marking an increase of 0.59% or 50.77 points from the previous close.

On Monday, The BIST 100 index fell by 2.49%, closing at 8,663.88 points with a daily transaction volume of 68 billion Turkish liras ($1.98 billion).

As of 10.30 a.m. local time (0730GMT), the exchange rates were recorded at 34.3510 Turkish lira per US dollar, 37.4415 per euro, and 44.5790 per British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold stood at $2,738.15, while Brent crude oil was trading at $75 per barrel.
