BIST 100 index earns 33.3 points at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened the midweek at 10,132.38 points, up 0.33% or 33.35 points from the previous close.

On Tuesday, the BIST 100 index decreased by 1.58% to 10,095.58 points, with a daily transaction volume of 105.9 billion liras ($3.04 billion).

As of 10.35 a.m. (0635GMT), the exchange rates stood at 34.8405 for the US dollar against the Turkish lira, 36.6670 for the euro, and 44.4430 for the British pound.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,691.81, and the price of Brent crude oil traded at $72.2 per barrel.
