ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 8,291.55 points, up by 0.67%, or 55.41 points, from Tuesday's close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed Tuesday at a record high of 8,236.14, hiking 1.16%, with a daily trading volume of 157 billion Turkish liras ($5.85 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 26.8214 as of 10.13 a.m. local time (0713GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 28.7811, and a British pound traded for 33.6883 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $87.59 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,950.75.
