ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 4,777.51 points, down by 0.13%, or 5.99 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed Wednesday at 4,783.50 points, down 2.20%, with a daily trading volume of 48 billion Turkish liras ($2.45 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 19.4260 as of 09.53 a.m. local time (0753GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 21.4836 while a British pound traded for 24.2286 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $78.03 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $2,011.95.
