ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Monday at 5,022.51 points, up 0.20%, or 10.17 points, from the previous close, after a break for the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed Thursday at 5,012.34 points, down 0.97.
The stock exchange traded for half a day on Thursday and was closed on Friday due to the Eid al-Fitr holiday marking the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 19.4077 as of 10.20 a.m. local time (0720GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 21.2978 while a British pound traded for 24.1102 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $80.45 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,989.95.
