ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 5,415.43 points on Friday, down 0.58%, or 31.80 points, from the previous close.
On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rose 0.33% to close at 5,447.23 points, with a daily trading volume of 103 billion Turkish liras ($5.5 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 18.6672 as of 09.55 a.m. local time (0655GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 19.7953, and a British pound traded for 22.4793 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $82.08 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was at $1803.10.
