ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 1,376.88 points, rising 0.30% or 4.1 points from the previous close.
At Thursday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 1.21% at 1,372.78 points, with a daily trading volume of 11 billion Turkish liras ($1.27 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 8.6900 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Friday, up from 8.6730.
One euro traded for 10.2900 Turkish liras, versus 10.2880, while the British pound/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 11.9600 from 11.9870.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $75.70 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
