Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas announced Wednesday that Giovanni Van Bronckhorst was appointed as their new head coach.
The Dutch coach signed a two-year contract with the Black Eagles, along with a one-year option to extend, according to a statement.
Jean Paul van Gastel and Serdar Topraktepe will be assistant coaches.
Van Bronckhorst, 49, previously led Feyenoord to the 2015-16 Eredivisie (Dutch top-tier league) title.
He then took the helm at the Rangers in Scotland in 2021, only to leave in November 2022 after winning the 2021-22 Scottish Cup.
