Turkish swimmer Emre Sakci ranks 2nd in world in men's 50 meters breaststroke

Chinese Qin Haiyang awarded gold medal in the competition

Turkish swimmer Emre Sakci finished second in the 2024 World Aquatics' men's 50 meters breaststroke on Sunday.

Chinese Qin Haiyang was awarded gold medal in the competition with 25.42 seconds time, while Sakci finished in 25.56 seconds in Budapest.

Russian Kirill Prigoda shared the silver medal with Sakci with same finishing time.

Türkiye completed the championship with a silver and bronze medal each as Kuzey Tuncelli won bronze in the men's 1500 meters freestyle.
