ANKARA (AA) - Turkish national football team’s staff and players on Tuesday visited Besiktas midfielder Dorukhan Tokoz, who underwent a surgery after suffering a knee injury.
''Turkish national football team’s staff and players visited Turkish international Dorukhan Tokoz, who underwent a surgery due to an unfortunate injury,'' the Turkish Football Association said in a statement on Tuesday.
The team’s manager Senol Gunes and the captain Emre Belozoglu inquired after the 23-year-old player during the visit and took a photograph with the midfield at the hospital.
In the 69th minute of Besiktas vs. Alanyaspor game on Sunday, Tokoz left the match as a result of the injury.
He suffered a knee cap dislocation to his right knee and underwent a surgery on Monday.
He is expected to be out for four months.
Tokoz became a vital part of Besiktas with his great performance, producing three goals and three assists in 33 matches for the Black Eagles.
In addition, he scored one goal in six matches for Turkey.
