ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke by phone on Friday with his Turkmen counterpart Serdar Berdimuhamedov, exchanging greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, one of the major Muslim religious festivals.
According to the Turkish Communications Directorate, Erdogan and Berdimuhamedov expressed their wish that Eid al-Adha may bring peace, serenity and prosperity to the entire humanity, particularly the Islamic world.
The two leaders also discussed the Türkiye-Turkmenistan friendship and regional issues.
Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of Sacrifice, is the second most important Muslim holiday. It marks the culmination of the annual Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
