WASHINGTON (AA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev will meet Thursday in the capital Ankara for talks.
Erdogan will welcome Mirziyoyev with an official ceremony at the presidential palace, where they will attend a meeting of the Türkiye-Uzbek High Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
The two leaders will discuss bilateral relations and global issues.
Following a signing ceremony for several agreements, Erdogan and Mirziyoyev are expected to hold a news conference.
Türkiye became the first country that recognized Uzbekistan in 1991, and diplomatic relations were established in 1992.
Ankara attaches great importance to the improvement of cooperation with Uzbekistan in all fields and wishes to further develop its relations, benefiting from the close ties.
