ANKARA (AA) - Turkish wrestler Riza Kayaalp on Tuesday, won gold medal by beating Iran's Amin Mirzazadeh in men's Greco-Roman 130 kg at 2022 World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.
Kayaalp bagged his fifth world championship as he won gold medal in men's Greco-Roman 120 kg at 2011 Istanbul and three golds in men's Greco-Roman 130 kg at 2015 Las Vegas, 2017 Paris and 2019 Nur-Sultan.
Türkiye took the top spot in seniors Greco-Roman team rankings with 125 points after this latest medal as the team failed to achieve points only in 63 kg category.
Burhan Akbudak on Monday also clinched gold medal in men's Greco-Roman 82 kg by beating Uzbekistan’s Jalgasbay Berdimuratov 3-1(7-6).
