ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye has busted 40 organized crime structures, leading to the apprehension of 307 suspects, the country's interior minister said Friday.
In 31 provinces, 15 organized crime groups and 24 other crime organizations responsible for supplying weapons and materials to these groups were busted in simultaneous raids under the umbrella name Operation Cage, Ali Yerlikaya said on X.
During the raids, 161 guns, 164 shotguns, two long-barreled guns, a large amount of ammunition, and various amounts of drugs and checks/bills were also seized.
