ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye on Tuesday expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life caused by flooding in Nepal.
"We express our deep sorrow for the loss of life and severe damage caused by the recent heavy rainfall and flooding disaster in Nepal. We extend our condolences to the friendly people of Nepal," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said on X.
The death toll from floods and landslides caused by heavy rains in and around Kathmandu, the capital of the South Asian country, has risen to 217.
