ANKARA (AA) – Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Burak Akcapar held political consultations with his counterparts from Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Kuwait, the authorities said on Tuesday.
During his visit to the Saudi capital Riyadh on Monday, Akcapar met with his Saudi counterpart Waleed Al-Khereiji to discuss bilateral relations and regional issues, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Twitter.
Separately, Akcapar also met with Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi, secretary general of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC).
During the meeting, Türkiye's relations with the GCC, cooperation opportunities, and global and regional developments were discussed.
As part of his Riyadh visit, Akcapar held talks with his Yemeni counterpart Mansour Baggash.
At the Türkiye-Yemen political consultations, the deputy foreign minister exchanged views on the latest developments in Yemen, bilateral relations and cooperation opportunities between Ankara and Sanaa.
At his last stop in Kuwait, Akcapar and his Kuwaiti counterpart Mansour Ayyad Alotaibi on Tuesday held the eighth round of political consultations.
Bilateral ties, cooperation and ways to enhance the relations in every field were on the agenda of the deputy foreign ministers.
