Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 lost 198.33 points from Tuesday's close of 10,677.49 points.
The price of an ounce of gold was $2,340.90, while Brent crude oil sold for around $83.78 per barrel as of 6.21 p.m. local time (1521GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.2561, the euro/lira exchange rate 34.8984, and the British pound traded at 40.9986 liras.
