ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Tuesday at 5,759.11 points, a rise of 0.46% or 26.25 points from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul traded half-day on Tuesday before going into a break due to Eid al-Adha or Feast of the Sacrifice, a Muslim holiday.
The lowest value of Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index during the day was 5,692.86, while its daily high was 5,766.58.
The total market value of BIST 100 was around 4.8 trillion Turkish liras ($185 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 30 billion Turkish liras ($1.14 billion).
The price of an ounce of gold was $1,930.95, while Brent crude oil sold for around $73.59 per barrel as of 2 p.m. local time (1200GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 26.0191, the euro/lira exchange rate was 28.5022, while the British pound traded at 33.1175 liras.
