ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye’s benchmark stock index, BIST 100, opened with a slight increase of 0.1% on Monday, rising by 9.23 points to reach 8,885.45 .
The index closed on Friday with a 0.98% loss, ending at 8,876.22 points and posting a daily trading volume of 73 billion Turkish liras ($2.12 billion).
As of 10.00 am local time (0700GMT), exchange rates for the Turkish lira stood at 34.2785 against the US dollar, 37.4520 against the euro, and 44.7880 against the British pound.
Meanwhile, the price of gold per ounce was $2,665.19, while Brent crude oil traded at approximately $77.75 per barrel.
