ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 7,917.93 points, a rise of 0.14% from the previous close.
Starting the day at 7,964.57 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 10.80 points from Tuesday's close.
Türkiye's financial markets were closed on Wednesday as the country marked Victory Day on Aug. 30.
The lowest value of the index during the day was 7,880.56, while its daily high was 8,005.82.
The total market value of BIST 100 was around 6.7 trillion liras ($252.3 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 151 billion liras ($5.66 billion).
The price of an ounce of gold was $1,962.55, while Brent crude oil sold for around $85.97 per barrel as of 6.26 p.m. local time (1526GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 26.6845, the euro/lira exchange rate was 28.9954, and the British pound traded at 33.8136 liras.
