ANKARA (AA) — Türkiye's benchmark stock index increased 1% to close Tuesday at 10,446.24 points.
After starting the day at 10,354.95 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 102.93 points from Monday's close with a daily transaction volume of 76 billion liras ($2.33 billion).
The price of an ounce of gold was $2,334.10, while Brent crude oil sold for around $86.69 per barrel as of 6.49 p.m. local time (1549GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.5622, the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 35.0208, while the British pound traded at 41.3605 liras.
In June, BIST 100 gained 2.38% on a monthly basis and posted a 42.54% hike from the beginning of this year, outpacing the world's leading indices.
