Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Wednesday at 8,496.66 points, the highest since Oct. 3, 2023.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 gained 22.36 points, or 0.26% from Tuesday's close of 8,474.30.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 7.2 trillion liras ($238.1 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 99 billion liras ($3.27 billion).
The price of an ounce of gold was $2,073.75 while Brent crude oil sold for around $81.18 per barrel as of 6.16 p.m. local time (1516GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 30.3475, the euro/lira exchange rate was at 33.0478, and the British pound traded at 38.6727 liras.
