ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Friday at 8,464.93 points, down 0.27% from the previous close.
After starting the last transaction day of the week at 8,410.25 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 23.05 points from the previous close.
The index's lowest value during the day was 8,397.55, while its high was 8,516.77.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 7.3 trillion Turkish liras ($264 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 126.5 billion Turkish liras ($4.56 billion).
During the day, 33 stocks on the index rose and 66 fell compared to the previous close.
The price of an ounce of gold was $1,843.25, while Brent crude oil sold for around $84.15 per barrel as of 6.20 p.m. local time (1520GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 27.6230, the euro/lira exchange rate was 29.1780, and the British pound traded at 33.7390 Turkish liras.
