ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Friday at 7,996.70 points, falling 0.24% from the previous close.
Starting the day at 8,040.29, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 fell 19.39 points from Thursday's close.
On a weekly basis, the index lost 0.13% on Friday.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 7 trillion Turkish liras ($226 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 74 billion Turkish liras ($2.5 billion).
The price of an ounce of gold was $2,027.05, while Brent crude oil sold for around $78.56 per barrel as of 8.08 p.m. local time (1708GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 30.1949, the euro/lira exchange rate was 32.8955, while the British pound traded at 38.2578 liras.
