Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended the week at 7,557.56 points, plunging 2.67% from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 lost 207.39 points from Thursday's close.
The index dropped 5.46% on a weekly basis.
The lowest value of the index during the day was 7,553.85, while its daily high was 7,794.95.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 6.4 trillion liras ($219.8 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 64 billion liras ($2.19 billion).
The price of an ounce of gold was $2,075.65, while Brent crude oil sold for around $79.75 per barrel as of 6.37 p.m. local time (1637GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 29.2212, the euro/lira exchange rate 32.2247, while the British pound traded at 37.2036 liras
