ANKARA (AA) — Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended the week at 7,705.99 points, up 0.55% from the previous close.
Starting the day at 7,673.65 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 gained 42.37 points from Thursday's close.
The index fell marginally by 0.01% on a weekly basis as of Friday's close.
It fell as low as 7,581.57 on Friday, while its daily high was 7,721.18.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 6.6 trillion Turkish liras ($233.7 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 88 billion liras ($3.11 billion).
The price of an ounce of gold was $2,000, while Brent crude oil sold for around $86.56 per barrel as of 6.53 p.m. local time (1553GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 28.4107, the euro/lira exchange rate at 30.5087, and the British pound traded at 35.1397 liras.
